BLACK EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Lead with Liberation. Lead with Love. Lead Like You Belong.

The Black Executive Leadership Academy (BELA) is a transformational leadership development experience designed exclusively for Black nonprofit executives, emerging leaders, and those shaping change in their communities.

Dear Black Leader — A Message from LaJuana

Dear Black Leader,

I see you. I am you. You’ve been leading, building, and holding everything together — even when it felt like no one was holding you. You’ve carried vision and exhaustion in the same hands. You’ve built excellence out of scarcity and created impact from pure resilience. You have made something out of almost nothing — again and again.

This is the space I built for us.

A place to learn. To breathe. To rebuild.
A space where you can be seen, heard, and supported — not just as a leader, but as a whole human being.

Here, you will find the clarity to lead, the community to sustain you, and the courage to keep becoming.

Because when Black leaders thrive, entire communities rise.
And you deserve to thrive.

Be Bold. Be You. Lead Like You Belong.

If you’re ready to transform how you lead — you’re in the right place.

What Is BELA?

BELA is a 7-week, equity-centered leadership development experience designed for Black leaders who are ready to lead with clarity, conviction, and liberation.

It blends coaching, community, curriculum, and culture — creating an environment where Black leaders don’t have to shrink, code-switch, or carry their brilliance alone.

BELA Foundations

BELA is built on four pillars that sustain powerful, liberated leadership:

Clarity

Understanding your calling, your leadership identity, and the systems you navigate.

Alignment

Building leadership practices that honor your values, boundaries, and humanity.

Connection

Recovering community through networks, peer support, and collective wisdom.

Courage

Leading boldly, unapologetically, and with the audacity your ancestors dreamed of.

We Don’t Just Develop Leaders.
We Build Legacies.

Our Leadership Philosophy

BELA believes:

  • Leadership should heal, not harm.

  • Liberation is a strategy, not a slogan.

  • Black leaders deserve rest, resources, and recognition.

  • Love is power — the kind that transforms systems and sustains people.

  • When leaders are well, organizations thrive.

  • When Black leaders thrive, entire communities rise.

This is not traditional leadership development.
This is leadership rooted in liberation.
